SAART™ Dahlia Mix – Dahlia Seeds (Dahlia variabilis), Tuber-Forming Summer Flower (Not Hardy)

The SAART™ Dahlia Mix contains carefully selected and hand-picked dahlia seeds (Dahlia variabilis) grown on my own flower farm in Kanzem, Germany.

Dahlias are among the most popular summer flowers: easy to grow, exceptionally floriferous, and ideal for cut flowers, natural gardens, and vibrant summer beds.

This mix represents a high genetic diversity of all dahlias collected on my farm, including several rare types. Each seed has the potential to develop into a completely new variety. In its first year, the seedling forms a small tuber. This tuber is lifted in November and stored frost-free over winter, then replanted outdoors after the last frost the following spring.

Sowing & Care (Dahlia variabilis)

• Sowing period: March–May (indoors or direct sowing)

• Germination: 7–14 days, optimal at 18–22 °C

• Location: Full sun, loose & well-drained soil

• Height: 80–120 cm

• Flowering period: June–October

• Tip: Regular cutting encourages continuous flowering
